2nd International Conference on Heritage and Sustainable Developement

Évora, Portugal

The Green Lines Institute and the Organising Committee established as a main criterium that Heritage and Sustainable Development conferences should take place in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. After Heritage 2008, that was held at the Douro Valley and the Archaelogic Park of Foz Coa the choice turned this year to the city of Évora, in Alentejo (Southern Portugal).

Évora is located 130 km from Lisbon (circa 90 minutes by car) and 100 Km (75 minutes by car) from the Spanish border.

Évora can also be reached by train from main cities in Portugal and Spain.

Despite its ancinet roots and amazing Historical Centre, Évora is a modern city equiped with modern facilities in cultural and touristic terms.
