The Organization of World Heritage Cities offers its deepest sympathy for the loss of so many Polish citizens, including that of the President, caused by the terrible plane crash on 10 April 2010.  Words fail to adequately express feelings when confronted by such a tragedy without precedent in history. 

Only time will help to ease the sorrow.  However, the Poles have demonstrated throughout history tremendous courage in facing many ordeals and without doubt once again the strength of the valiant people of Poland will prevail.
