On the occasion of the meeting of the Board of Directors of the OWHC in Lyon, France, in late March 2010, the members of the Board were informed of the continuing progress in the preparation of the World Congress to be held in Sintra.  The presentation made by the Mayor of Sintra, Fernando J. L. Roboredo Seara, Ms. Ana Bela Pascoal Xavier, Coordinator for International Relations of the City of Sintra and Ms. Kerstin Manz, Coordinator of the Scientific Committee of the World Congress of Sintra, was met with great enthusiasm.
