On 26th October 2012 Mr Huschner, director of the staff unit urban development and world heritage of the city of Wismar, opened the annual “KINDER UNI” (children university). Children at the age of 8 to 12 years become students then and attend lectures. For the opening theme “World heritage – What does it mean?” more than 150 young students applied, who were very interested and well prepared.  Wismar's mayor, Thomas Beyer, also participated in the first lecture and had a seat among the children in the auditorium. Finally a quiz with tricky questions about the topic “World Heritage Wismar” was arranged for the young students, who fortunately gave plenty of correct answers.
