On the occasion of the 15^th anniversary of its inscription on the World Heritage List, the city of Lyon organized, together with the OWHC, the ”Cities and Heritage meeting”. This meeting, held on May 23 and 24, brought together 270 participants coming from 63 cities and 30 countries. This meeting was the culmination of the Case Studies project led by the city of Lyon, to which many partners took part, including the UNESCO, the Council of Europe, ICOMOS, the Getty Getty Conservation Institute, the Association des biens français du patrimoine mondial, the Association nationale des Villes et Pays d’art et d’histoire et des Villes à secteurs sauvegardés et protégés. A summary of this important issue will be presented at the World Congress of the OWHC to be held in Oaxaca, Mexico (November 2013).
