The second meeting of the Board of Directors of the Organization of World Heritage Cities (OWHC) for 2013-2015 was held on January 13 and 14 2015 in Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay. Seven cities elected to the Board of Directors of the OWHC for 2013-2015 were present, with the Vice-President and Treasurer and Mayor of Valparaiso, Chile, Mr. Jorge Muñoz Castro chairing the meeting.   

There were constructive discussions throughout the meeting bringing very productive results. The deliberations focused on relations with OWHC partner organizations, an effective working relationship with the Regional Secretariats and updates on ongoing OWHC projects and programs in addition to the standard administrative issues. The city of Arequipa, Peru, was also present and presented a progress report of the preparations for the next World Congress of the OWHC to be held from November 3 to 6 2015.
