Warsaw awards prize for OWHC Youth Video Competition
Warsaw, Poland
This annual edition of the European Heritage Days ran under the leading theme of “lost heritage”. On this occasion, the Heritage Interpretation Centre organized a special workshop entitled “How the Old Town has changed.” Classes were offered the unique opportunity to learn about the history of destruction and restoration of the Historic Centre of Warsaw. All visitors could see the transformation of urban and architectural structure of the Old Town on the basis of a new acquisition of the Centre, a 1:200 scale model.
During the celebration the local winners of the 3rd competition for the young filmmakers “My city, Our World Heritage” received the prize. Ms Alicja Annovi and Ms Marta Zwierzyńska in an interesting way showed the uniqueness of the Old Town area inscribed into the UNESCO World Heritage List, on the background of a diverse panorama of the capital.
