Salzburg school project on UNESCO World Heritage
Salzburg, Austria
World Heritage was the topic for more than 100 school kids during 10 project days. The kids learnt about the whole variety of heritge sites: the global aspect of UNESCO heritage idea, of immaterial heritage, but also about the heritage sites of their hometown SALZBURG. On that occasion, our colleague Alexander Würfl from the World Heritage management Salzburg visited the classrooms and discussed with the pupils.
Excursions for all classes were organized and accompanied by the professional heritage manager to the monastery of St. Peters, the old town and the fortress.
The project days were summarized in an exhibition for parents and relatives, and seem to be a success that might be institutionalized for other schools in Salzburg.
