It is with sadness that we have learned of the death of Mr. Marcel Junius (1925-2018), which occurred on June 6^th. Born in Belgium, Marcel Junius was the first Secretary General of the Organization of World Heritage Cities (OWHC), from 1993 to 1998. It is therefore under the latter that the founding principles of the OWHC were established.
