The Quebec Roadmap adopted during the Symposium: Towards a New Urban Project for the OWHC (Quebec, September 9, 2022) will be officially launched in early November 2022.

The General Secretariat has received a mandate to prepare an action plan for its implementation. In this framework, and while waiting to set up the relevant consultation work with the member cities, we will be launching the Phase 1 without delay in order to make the most of the dynamics that resulted from the 16^th World Congress and its Symposium.

The reference documents will be unveiled in the coming weeks. The objective is to announce the participation of as many cities as possible in the Roadmap before the end of the year (with the transmission to the General Secretariat of their expressions of interest).

Phase 1, and the Roadmap in general, are based on the principle of an easy and rapid implementation. Above all, it will be an exercise of identifying the knowledge, expertise and existing projects, as well as proposing action by allowing economies of scale while using as best as possible the budgets already made available by each city. The OWHC has allocated a budget of $200,000 (CAN) in 2023 to ensure co-financing of these actions.
