In response to the Russian aggression against Ukraine, the General Secretariat, together with the Regional Secretariat for Eastern and Central Europe, launched a fundraising campaign for the preservation of Ukrainian cultural heritage. All the money donated was used for 3D scanning of the historic City Hall in Chernivtsi, an OWHC member city.

In addition, the City of Warsaw, which hosts the OWHC Regional Secretariat for Eastern and Central Europe, funded the development of a model based on the 3D scan. This model will be used to design the restoration of the building. The model can also be used for the reconstruction of the building in case of war damage.

The OWHC Regional Secretariat for Eastern and Central Europe coordinated the entire process.
