Neringa and San Luis Potosí join the OWHC as new members!
We are delighted to welcome Neringa and San Luis Potosí as new member cities of the Organization of World Heritage Cities (OWHC).
Neringa, situated on the stunning Curonian Spit in Lithuania, is celebrated for its unique natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage. This UNESCO World Heritage site is renowned for its shifting sand dunes and traditional wooden architecture.
San Luis Potosí, located in central Mexico, boasts a vibrant history and impressive colonial architecture. As part of the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, this UNESCO site reflects a rich cultural heritage dating back to the 16th century.
Under the leadership of their respective mayors, these cities are committed to preserving their exceptional natural and cultural heritage.
We are proud to welcome Neringa and San Luis Potosí to the OWHC family. It is by joining forces that we continue to protect our world heritage towards sustainable urban development. We look forward to working with these remarkable cities.
