Safranbolu makes an effort to protect historical and cultural environment so it has special place in Turkey. We started to work to organize international festival in Safranbolu which was taken to World Heritage List by UNESCO in 1994.

The purpose of our festival is protect the cultural values and carry these values located in Safranbolu and Turkey to next generation as heritage. We believe that we can carry historical, cultural and natural environment to next generation with theme of “Cultural Heritage and Preservation”.

International Golden Saffron Documentary Film Festival advertises historical values of Safranbolu and Turkey as national and international. It improves cultural tourism in Safranbolu and we can’t deny this benefit of festival.

8th International Golden Saffron Documentary Film Festival will be held in Safranbolu in 7-9 September 2007. We are glad to invite you to take part in significant international festival.
