As part of the 400th anniversary of the foundation of the city of Québec, its mayor, Mr. Régis Labeaume, hosted the 26th meeting of the Board of Directors and the meeting of the regional coordinators from June 3 to 5. This meeting provided the opportunity to discuss various current projects, including the City2City Program, the Mayors’ Interviews, the new version of the Web Site, Youth on the Trail of World Heritage, and the Jean-Paul L’Allier Prize for Heritage. A special presentation was made to give information concerning the progress of the organization of the next world congress, which will be held in Quito, Ecuador, from September 8 to 11, 2009.
