Resilience Management of World Heritage sites: International guests at the Final Conference of the EU-project HerMan in Regensburg, Germany
Representatives of the nine project partners from different European countries of the EU project “HerMan – Management of Cultural Heritage in the Central Europe Region” were guests in Regensburg from 26th until 28th of November. The conference was enriched by international experts and practitioners from the field of World Heritage Management. Subjects of the discussion have been the results of the project which was co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The objective of the „HerMan” project was developing from conservation to management of World Heritage. At the final conference, this objective was highlighted from different perspectives by lectures, presentations and panel discussions. The diversified conference programme was organised by Tordis Hellmann and Matthias Ripp from the World Heritage Coordination Unit. During its 30-months project time many linkages to local cultural heritage activities in Regensburg were set up.
At the beginning of the conference the participants enjoyed a special topic: the HerMan Movie had its premiere!
