INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR The legislation in Cultural Heritage: the city on the landscape

 

23-24th January 2015

Under the title of Legislation in the Cultural Heritage: the city on the landscape, the City Hall of Aranjuez, with the financial support of the OWHC, organize this International Seminar which will be celebrated in Aranjuez the 23 and 24th January 2015.

The contents pretend to approach the cities to the legislation about the heritage management, which must consider the environment. It also reflects on the harmonization that needs to be established between the legislation affecting to the cultural goods and the natural ones.

The new international dispositions about the historic urban and the cultural landscapes inspires the meeting held in Aranjuez, which is an example of the fusion between the nature and the men’s work, and so the consequent management.

The objective of this seminar is to show the legislations that the members of the OWHC develop and the incidence this has on heritage management.

 

OBJECTIVES

 

 

  • To know the legislation that affects in the heritage management.

  • To share the experience and the state of the legislation in an international level, with Spain as example.

  • To create a forum to join the efforts of the city managers, which also must serve as guide for the future.

  • To emphasize the harmonization of heritage elements as a guarantee of an integral management, so these goods can be used and enjoyed for everyone as well as promoted as an economic factor.

  • To reflect about the newest contributions in this field and the experience of the different participating cities.

  • To elaborate some conclusions reflecting the common proposals and the good practices.

  • To promote the heritage throughout the dissemination of the conclusions, analysis and studies among the local scholarships.
