Launching of the 5th edition of the Jean-Paul-L’Allier Prize for Heritage 2017

The Organization of World Heritage Cities (OWHC) is proud to launch the 5th edition of its Jean-Paul-L’Allier Prize for Heritage.

This award highlights an achievement related to the conservation, enhancement or good management of a living urban ensemble or property within an urban context thanks, in part, to the commitment of its local communities. The urban ensemble or property must be located within the territory of an OWHC member city inscribed on the World Heritage List.

The winning city will be awarded the Jean-Paul-L’Allier Prize during a ceremony especially planned for the award presentation at the World Congress of the OWHC to be held in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea, from October 31 to November 3, 2017.

The novelty of this edition is a greater consideration of the local stakeholders and the local communities in the evaluations of the submitted candidacy. And as always, the mayor of the winning city and the project will receive an international mediation via our website and social media.

You can find the by-laws and the form on the PAGE OF THE PROGRAM and you have until 30 of June 2017 to send your candidacy.
