Call for book chapter “World heritage management, urban planning and sustainable tourism”

In the aftermath of our 2018 Regional conference, the OWHC Regional Secretariat for Northwest Europe and North America plans to publish together with our conference moderator and scientific advisor, Professor Kurt Luger from Salzburg University, a book which deals with the challenges of Heritage Management in the predicament of mass tourism and sustainability.

Articles can either focus on case studies dealing with practical experiences or they can discuss the topic on a wider theoretical level. The aim of the publication is to contribute to a comprehensive heritage management by means of stakeholder participation, including urban and traffic planning as well as sustainable tourism.

Please find the  Call for book chapter information here. We encourage all our cities to think about practice examples from our World Heritage places.
