Winners of the video competition 2019 – Congratulations to the cities of Kazan and Icherisheher

The OWHC disclosed during its XV World Congress in Krakow (June 2 to 5) the names of the winners of the 2019 edition of the International Video Production Competition “If you had one day in a World Heritage City…”. The awards for the 14-17 years old category and the 18-21 years old category were presented in the presence of the members of the Organization, and the OWHC Secretary General, Mr. Denis Ricard.

The members of the jury were Mr. Charles Moumouni, from the Information and Communication Department of the Laval University (Quebec), Mr. Jinsu Yom, President of Better World and UNESCO World Heritage Volunteers – Asia Coordination, Ms. Rhonda Rioux, Director of Department of Culture, Heritage and International Relations of the City of Québec, as well as Mr. Denis Ricard.

The jury wishes to point out the high quality of the 27 videos presented by 19 member cities in good standing of the OWHC: Segovia (Spain), San Antonio and Philadelphia (United States), Jongno-gu (Republic of Korea), Denpasar (Indonesia), Krakow (Poland), Budapest (Hungary), Bamberg and Regensburg (Germany), Évora (Portugal), Icherisheher (Azerbaijan), Kazan and Saint Petersburg (Russian Federation), Salzburg and Vienna (Austria), Yazd (Iran), Galle (Sri Lanka), Kutna Hora (Czech Republic) and Olinda (Brazil).

The evaluation criteria of the jury were the following: 1) the quality of the production; 2) the processing of the content 3) the originality and creativity.

14-17 years old category

In 3rd position, congratulations to Amir Hossein Dehghan Banadaki from the city of Yazd (Iran).

In 2nd position, congratulations to Zemmari Bloomfield from the city of Salzburg (Austria).

The international winner in the 14-17 years old category is Valeria Sindimirova from the city of Kazan (Russian Federation) for the video Tsar’s Dream. Congratulations!

The representative of the Mayor of Kazan, Mr. Rassikh Sagitov, was proud to receive during the XV World Congress the certificates of honour, one of which is for the young winner. The $1500 CA prize will be directly given to the winner.

18-21 years old category

In 3rd position, arrived ex-aequo: congratulations to Fanni Borbás from the city of Budapest (Hungary) and congratulations to Aleksandra Tereschenko from the city of Saint Petersburg (Russian Federation).

In 2nd position, congratulations to the whole team of 8 young people from the city of Jongno-gu (Republic of Korea).

The international winner in the 18-21 years old category is Nihad Nebili from the city of Icherisheher (Azerbaijan) for the video Amazing city – Baku. Congratulations!

The Head of Administration of Icherisheher, Asgar Alakbarov, was proud to receive during the XV World Congress the certificates of honour, one of which is for the young winner. The $3000 CA prize will be directly given to the winner.
