From August until October 2018, eight young people were travelling on a special mission through the World Heritage Cities of Europe and North America. For the first time, the Regional Secretariat for Northwest Europe and North America of the OWHC (Organization of World Heritage Cities) was organizing this new project, exclusively designed for young people aged 18 – 28 years. After a thorough application process, six winners/teams were chosen. Each were equipped with 1.000 Euros from an OWHC scholarship to find out, what World Heritage means for them, how much their own cultural background shapes their lives and behavior, and how important it is to preserve our tangible and intangible heritage around the globe.
