The Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie (Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie) has offered a financial support to the Organization of World Heritage Cities (OWHC) for the financial year 2020-2021.

In these difficult times caused by the global pandemic, this financial support is all the more appreciated, because it will allow the OWHC, whose head office is located in Québec City, to continue its work with World Heritage cities, which due to the crisis must now face new challenges and issues related to tourism, economy, mobility, access to culture, etc.

The OWHC is grateful to the Government of Québec for having the protection and enhancement of urban heritage as a priority, since that is the essence of the organization’s mission.
