The Panel of Mayors validated the strategic axes and operational objectives resulting from the work of experts from member cities carried out within the framework of “On the Road to Québec”.

The Panel brings together 11 mayors of the OWHC. It was created to support the preparation process for the Quebec Symposium (September 8-9, 2022). With Mr. Bruno Marchand, Mayor of Quebec who chaired the meeting, were present: Mr. Pierre Hurmic, Mayor of Bordeaux; Mr. Philippe Close, Mayor of Brussels; Mr. José María Bellido Roche, Mayor of Córdoba; Mr. Victor German Boluarte Medina, Mayor of Cuzco; Mr. Carlos Pinto de Sá, Mayor of Évora; Mr. Ron Nirenberg, Mayor of San Antonio; Mr Remigijus Simasius, Mayor of Vilnius. The mayors of Dubrovnik, Quito and Tunis were excused.

The validation of the work done so far allows us to take an important step in the political positioning of the Symposium and contributes to the further preparation of its scientific content. The strategic axes and operational objectives will be the main subject of the different sessions of the Symposium.

The Round Table of Mayors will meet for a second time on August 23.
