The Institute Heritage Studies (IHS) directed by Prof. Dr. Marie-Theres Albert is holding a conference in celebration of 50 years of the World Heritage Convention. The international conference “50 Years World Heritage Convention: Times of Peace, Conflict and War” will take place on the 4th of November 2022 in the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin and virtually online.

The international conference will bring together a wide variety of people and institutions to discuss diverse interpretations of World Heritage, the Convention, and its Peace Mandate. For more details, please check the programme of the conference on the project’s website here.

A guided tour through the World Heritage Site of the Museum Island will be offered after the conference. Please indicate in the registration form, whether you like to take part. Due to organisational purposes, registration to the guided tour is binding.
