Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina

A new Project Meeting of the OWHC Regional Secretariat for Southern Europe and the Mediterranean took place in Mostar on 3 and 4 July, which included an interesting Thematic Workshop on “The Trades that conserve and restore Heritage” in which the good practices in this field of the cities of Angra do Heroísmo, Évora and Porto were presented.
The role of the Trades in the so-called Emergency Plans, a programme promoted by the General Secretariat of the OWHC, was also discussed, and a first meeting was held for the establishment of the Collaborative Network on the Priority Theme “Trades and traditional techniques for heritage conservation”, presented by this Regional Secretariat within the Quebec Roadmap.
The meeting was attended by 17 representatives from 10 cities of our Regional Secretariat, as well as 16 people from the city of Mostar.
We will meet again in the city of Elvas (Portugal) on 8 and 9 November for our 23rd Regional Conference.
