The City of Bordeaux, whose Port of the Moon has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2007, is organizing a new edition of the Cities & Heritage Study Days on October 16 and 17, 2025, in partnership with Bordeaux Métropole.

The theme chosen this year is: “Trains in the city – Railway heritage and urban projects (19th-21st centuries)”. This meeting is aimed at researchers, professionals, practitioners and young specialists in urban history, architecture, urban planning and mobility.

Proposals for papers should be sent before June 1, 2025.

Provisional schedule

June 2025: selection of proposals, establishment of a preliminary program (hybrid meeting)

September 2025: finalization and dissemination of the program (hybrid meeting)

October 16-17, 2025: study days (provisional dates)
